Jayne H. Johnson, age 63, of Baxley died suddenly at Memorial Health in Savannah. She was a native of Alamo, Georgia but had lived in Baxley since 1978. Jayne was daughter of the late Robert Hill and Ellen Sanders Hill. She worked with Dr. Craig Padgett Veterinary in Hazlehurst the past 14 years.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Wendell Lane Johnson of Baxley, daughter, Jamie Jones of Canton, GA., two step sons, Marty Johnson (Julie) of Alma and Cameron Johnson (Priscilla) of Blackshear, a step daughter, Wendy Johnson of Alma, brother, Gene Hill of Bainbridge, GA. 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 8th at 2:00 PM at New Vision Church with Rev. Vic Peacock officiating. The body will be carried to the church at 1:00 PM to lie in state. Interment will follow in Alamo City Cemetery in Alamo, GA. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Marty, Brandon, Cameron, Slade, Andy and Bodie Johnson and Ricky Altman. All others will be considered honorary escorts.
