Jeanette Gurley, age 89, of Alma passed away Tuesday, November 22nd at Oaks at Bethany Hospice in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Soperton, Georgia, daughter of the late Charles Joshua Gurley and Estelle Cook Gurley and preceded in death by six brothers, Earl Junior, Paul, Charlie, J.T., Tuck and Allen Gurley and three sisters, Gladys Williams, Bart Kitchens and Lois Gurley and a nephew David Gurley.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Othedias "Tootsie" Gurley, niece, Peggy Carter (Brad), four great-nieces, Kristi Cartledge (Cabe), Jessica Jones (David), Alicia Gurley and Kayla Durrance (Keith) all of Alma, great-nephew, Matt Carter of Baxley and several great-great-nieces and nephews survive.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 23rd at 2:00 PM at Old Pine Grove Church Cemetery with Rev. Randy Cox officiating.
