Jennie Marie Norton, age 79, of Alma passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Baptist Village in Waycross after an extended illness. She was daughter of the late Willard Lee and Hazel Louise Dunlap Lee and preceded in death by her husband John Lacy Norton, a sister Anna Margaret Mann and a special friend Eugene "Red" Waters. Jennie was retired from Milliken as Secretary; she worked with as clerk at the Bacon County Tax Commissioners Office and was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Walter Lee of Waycross and Greg Lee of Alma and three sisters, Cornelia Ann Johnson and Betty Gail Clark (Jim) of Alma and Doris Faye Boatwright (Frank) of Waycross.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18th at 11:00 AM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Delk, Jerald Douglas and David Alderman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Terry Wayne Johnson, Stephen Christopher Priester, Walter Shawn Lee, Adam Boatwright, Alan Dunlap and Peter Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be; Pearlene Cason, Cecil and Evelyn Dunlap, Gerald and Johnnie DeLettre and all others in attendance.
