Jerald J. Douglas, age 66, of Nicholls went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Bacon County on September 13, 1950 to the late Cliford Douglas and Wilma Johnston Douglas. He was a carpenter and farmer for many years and was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Robin Johnson Douglas of Alma, two sisters, Carolyn Lee (Steve) and Evelyn Dunlap (Cecil) of Nicholls, GA., three nephews, Tony Dunlap of Roswell, GA., Alan Dunlap and Steven Lee of Alma, a niece, Sinda Jeffery of Alma, GA. and three special pets, Raggs, Coco and Eggo.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 14 ^th at 11:00 AM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Delk, Rev. Don Patterson and Dr. Dale Carver officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10:00 AM until funeral time. Active pallbearers will be the Joy Seekers Sunday School Class from Lee's Chapel Church. Honorary pallbearers will be; the Bacon County Class of 1968 and all others.
