Jerell David Rowell, age 66, of Alma passed away on Sunday, September 25 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Coffee County and son of the James Willard Rowell and Wylean Gilliard Lane. Jerell was retired from the Fitzgerald Police Department.

Survivors include a son, Robert Rowell (Renee) of Abbeville, GA., a daughter, Jerelda Sutton of Madison, FL., one brother, Glynn Rowell (Martha Sue) of Screven, GA., two sisters, Jean Redding (J.E.) and LeVan Lee (Billy) both of Nicholls; also 3 grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 27th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Hall Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home 12:00 PM until funeral time.
