Edwin Jerome Taylor, age 65, passed away at WellStar MCG in Augusta, GA. May 05, 2026, after a short illness. He was a native of Bacon County, born November 28, 1960, to the late Hollis Edwin Taylor and Vera Wanck Taylor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Jerome Taylor.

He was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church. He retired after many years from the construction industry.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy Joiner Taylor; his son, James Drury Taylor; sisters, Melondia Music (Earl), Sheila Taylor, and Holly G. Taylor; nephews, Phillip and Quinn Music and Kendall Gilliam; nieces, Makayla Taylor and Lynette Gilliam and many great nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Friday May 08, 2026, at 2 PM in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Robbie Gill and Rev. John Sasser officiating. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers include Phillip Music, Quinn Music, Rodney Wilson, Zack Williams, and Stacy Williams. All in attendance will be considered honorary pallbearers.
