Jerri Lynn Taylor, age 61, of Alma passed away suddenly at the Bacon County Hospital on Saturday, March 26, 2016. She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Allie Quarterman Sweat. Jerri Lynn was retired from Ag South Farm Credit after more than thirty years of service; she was owner and operator of New Beginnings Gift Boutique and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of forty-three years, Jimmy D. Taylor of Alma, her mother Minnie Jo Cole Sweat of Alma, one son Jeff Taylor (Robyn), two daughters, Traci Johnson Murray (Al) and Kristy Rowland (Derrick) of Alma, two brothers, Al Sweat of Augusta, GA. and Mike Sweat (Renita) Alma, brother in law, Tommy Taylor of Alma, sister in law, Linda Jean Bagley (Jimmy) of Alma and seven grandchildren, Paige Aleigh Johnson, Chase Johnson, Macey Taylor, Devin Rowland, Aniston Johnson, Dustin Rowland and Lawton Taylor all of Alma.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31st at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Van McCall, Rev. R. B. Gaskins and Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Jimmy Dockery, Mike Wheeler, Donald Cothern Dan Osteen, Donnie Dyal, Perry White and Larry Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be;
Farm Credit of Baxley, Blackshear, Douglas and Jesup and special friends, Ron and Betty Boatright.
