Jerry Elie Bowen, age 68, of Alma died suddenly Wednesday September 4th, 2013. He was native of Bacon County, son of the late James Elie Bowen and Ruby Taylor Bowen and was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Larry Bowen, a sister, Elaine Bowen. Jerry was a member of New Union Baptist Church and had served in the U S Army.

Survivors include a son, Shane Bowen (Kendra) of Breese, IL., a daughter, Heidi Deen (Ron) of Alma, two brothers, John Bowen of Alma, Roy Bowen of Axon, GA., a sister, Elaine Kiker of Monticello, GA., five grandchildren, Alec Bowen of Orlando, Jarrod Deen of Alma, Emily Bowen of Breese, IL., Kaitlyn Deen of Alma and Kata Bowen of Breese, IL.

A memorial service will be held Friday Sept. 6th at 4:00 o'clock at New Union Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Bohannon officiating.
