Jerry "Ferb" Marcus Gaskins, age 71, of Alma passed away suddenly January 1, 2025 at Bacon County Hospital. He was born June 26, 1953 in Bacon County to Marcus Newton Gaskins and Georgia Ruth Mattox Gaskins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathy Gaskins. Survivors include his wife, Alyssa Roy Gaskins; four children, Joseph Charles Gaskins of Jacksonville, Kim Blackman, Crystal Anderson (David) of Callahan and Joy Riggs of Fernandina Beach; eight grandchildren, Marcus & Coby Gaskins, Matthew, Courtney, Seth & Chase Blackman, Evelyn Gaskins and Ivey Riggs; one great-granddaughter, Leia Blackman and sister, Rhonda Little of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Monday January 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Beulah Baptist Church with Bishop R. B. Gaskins and Pastor Matt Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Monday at the church from 1:00 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Coby Gaskins, Marcus Gaskins, Mark Johnson, Adam Johnson, Chase Peacock, Joey Altman, Huey Davis, Jr. and Shawn Davis. Mr. Gaskins Racing Buddies will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
