Jerry Ray Taylor, Sr., age 77, of Alma passed away at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Bacon County on October 30, 1944 to Nolan Taylor and Bertie Taylor. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by granddaughter, Kiley Music; brothers, Lether Taylor, Roy "Duck" Taylor, Buddy Taylor and Troy Taylor and sister, Shirley Taylor Shirbock

Mr. Taylor was a retired carpenter and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Mullis Taylor; four children, Ray Taylor (Karen), Debra Denson (Robert), Rhonda Johnson and Kim Wasden (Tony); mother of his children, Erma Taylor; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 24 ^th from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Friendship Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 in the church cemetery with Rev. Charles Carter and Rev. Jimmy Miles officiating.

Active pallbearers will be; Mike Shirbock, Stacey Treat, Robert Denson, Corey Mikell, Chris Shirbock and Tad Medders. Honorary pallbearers will be; Members of Friendship Baptist Church, Stephanie Trowell, Alex Cisneros, GHC Hospice Nurses; Patricia Lamb, Brandi Harden and Kim Chrysler.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge o arrangements.
