Jerry D. Williams, age 58, of Alma died suddenly Monday, September 29th. He was a native of Broxton, Georgia but had lived in Alma since 2009. Jerry was son of the late Woodrow Williams and Hazel Tanner Williams and preceded in death by a sister Dot Williams. He was Vice Commander of the American Legion and Commander of the Sons of the Legion and he served Vietnam while in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife of 5 years, Kimberly Miller Williams of Alma, one son, Jeremy Williams (Allison) of Douglas, two-step sons, Richard Galliher and Anthony Ransom of Jacksonville, FL., one step-daughter, Christin Hagan of Jacksonville, FL, four brothers, Roy Williams and Jack Williams of Douglas, Frankie Williams of Americus, GA. and Woodrow Williams of Dublin, GA., one sister, Diane Brown of Broxton and two step grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 3rd at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne Tanner officiating.
