Jimmy Derrell McElroy, age 57, of Nicholls passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. He was born in Coffee County on January 9, 1963. His father Larry McElroy, brother Clifford McElroy and a granddaughter Harper Lynn Brown preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Teresa Lynn Moore McElroy, his mother, Shirley Ann Waldron McElroy, three children, Jimmy Derrell McElroy, Jr. (Megan), Wendy Nicole McElroy and Misty McElroy Brown (K.B.), brother, Stanley James McElroy (Rhonda), sister, Tammie Douglas (Ricky) all of Nicholls, GA. and 5 five grandchildren, Graycee Nicole McElroy, Gabriella Layne McElroy, Gavin Cole McElroy, Hudson Maddox and Grayson Maverick McElroy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14 ^th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. John Carver and Rev. L. G. Aldridge. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 PM until funeral times. Interment will follow in Roberts Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Autrey Merritt, Leon Gray, Stevie Taylor, James Messick, Fernando Flores and Scotty Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be; Milford & Jerry Anderson, Ricky Lott, R. T. Merritt, Banner Waldron, Richard Henriott, Tommy James, Tim Anderson, Marty Griffis, Claude Davis, Foye McGray, Roy Sweat, Author Jackson and Samuel "Dobbie" Cothren.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
