James "Jimmy" P. Rimes, Jr., age 69, of Alma passed away January 7, 2024 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born March 30, 1954 in Bacon County to the late James Rimes, Sr. and Joyce Blasingame Rimes. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jim Rimes, III.

Survivors include three children, Travis Carver of Blackshear, Troy Rimes and Brandi (Bobby) Yun of Marietta; three sisters, Jeannie (Joe) Boatright of Alma, Sherry Rimes Stirrat and Kimberly Rimes Sweeney both of Florida.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
