Jimmy White, age 71, of Alma passed away suddenly Monday, January 5th in Waycross. He was a native of Bacon county and son of the late Stanford White and Luna Wade White. Jimmy was preceded in death by brother in law, Cecil Tanner, sister in law, Mary White and a niece, Sandy Holland. He worked with Berry Gray Construction for 15 years and served in the U S Army during Vietnam.

Survivors include a son, Curtis White (Misty) of Alma, four daughters, Melanie Williams (Joel) and Kim Jowers (David) of Alma, Misty Merritt (Evan) of Baxley and Lisa Shirey of Blackshear, four brothers, Foster White (Maureen), Ruby White (Gale), Neil White, Sr. and Ray White (Patricia) of Alma, sister, Eloise Tanner of Alma, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8th at 2:00 PM at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Peavy officiating and eulogy given by Wendy Lee.
The body will be carried to the church at 1:00 PM to lie in state. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Mike White, Phil White, Stan White and Neil White, Jr., Jason Holland and Keith Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be; Employee's of Berry Gray Construction.
