James Ira "Jimmy" Wiliams, age 62of Alma, passed away at St. Joseph's/Candleron Wednesday, December 26, 2018 after a short illness. Jimmy was born in Alma, Georgiaon December 10, 1956to Wayne Williamsand Norma Jean Taylor Williams. He worked with the State of Georgia as a Game Warden from September 1, 1981 until he retired in November 1, 2011.

Mr. Wiliams is survived by his father, Wayne Williams, his best friend of 45years, Dale Olgelesby Williams, his son,Chris Williams (Rebecca) one brother, Jeff Williams (Kimberly) of Alma, GA. two sisters, Jackie Jones (Kenny) of Folkston, GA. and Jennifer Johnson (Lane) of Alma, GA. and three grandchildren, Bailey Williams, Matthew and Corbin Lawrence; also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Jean Taylor Williams and a sister, Marie Farrior.

Funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00 PMwith Rev. Travis Peavyofficiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday,December 29, 2018 from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be: Gary Simmons, Damon Winters, Steven Williams, Eddie Rimes, Virgil Taylor and David Reckley. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
