Joan Carolyn Boatright, age 72, of Alma passed away Friday May 24, 2019 at Satilla Hospice in Waycross, GA. after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County, and the daughter of the late Elmer and Ida Lee Ivey. A son Craig Martin and 3 sisters June Ivey McCrea, Jerlene Ivey Ray, and Ruby Nell Ivey Haskins also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband Ronald Boatright of Alma, son Robert Martin (Traci) of Alma, 2 daughters Susan Martin Fulford of Waycross and Rhonda Johnson (Jody) of Alma, sister Judy Ivey Pack (James) of Brunswick, 9 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11 AM in the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. RB Gaskins officiating. Active pallbearers are Ricky Boatright, Joey (Dude) Yawn, Toby Reeves, Jacob McClellan, Harris Ritch, and Jody Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are employees of The Medicine Cabinet of Waycross. The family will be receiving friends from 10:30-11 AM Monday. Internment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
