Joan Elaine Brown, age 58, of Alma passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville after a short illness. She was born on February 6, 1959 to the late James Jobe and Anna Mae Brown Jobe. Her sister Katherine Brewer preceded her in death.

Survivors include two children, Keith Spivey and Leanna Johnson (Lance) both of Alma, two grandchildren, Lily Johnson of Alma and Nevaeh Spivey of Glenville, GA.; also several close friends from multiple states.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 30 ^th at 11:00 AM at the Alma Church of God with Rev. Travis Peavy officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive from one hour before the funeral.

Active pallbearers will be; Michael Hewitt, Andre Brinson, Michael Todd, Brian Johnson, Lance Johnson, Donnie Capps and Dillon Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers will be; Alma Bacon County Fire and EMS Department, Bacon County Sherriff Department and Alma Police Department.
