JoAnn Knowles Curl, age 76, of Alma passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Bacon County on January 23, 1945 to Joe Brown Knowles and Mittie Lee Knowles. She attended the Alma Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Edsel Curl; two children, Teressa Mobley (Jessie) and Mitchell Curl (Jamie); four grandchildren, Matt Mobley, Logan, Sarah and Sadie Curl; one great-grandson, Trenton Curl and one sister, Shirley Harrell of Douglas.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Campground United Methodist Church with Bishop R. B. Gaskins officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
