JoAnn Taylor, age 77, of Nicholls passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems in Brunswick, Georgia after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Marvin Ellis and Ethell Hayes Ellis and preceded in death by a son, Infant Taylor and a brother, Mickey Ellis. JoAnn was a CNA for many years and was a member of Mims Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Eddie Lee Taylor of Nicholls, GA. a daughter, Dana Taylor Lane and husband Gary of Hoboken, GA., four grandchildren, Eddie Kersey (Ashley) of Hortense, GA., Reilee Lane (Nancy) of Hazlehurst, GA., Taylor Lane and Nicholas Lane of Hoboken, GA. 6 great-grandchildren, Thomas Kersey, Gabby Lane, Eli Lane, Izac Sheppard, Chanceler Sheppard and Elizabeth Brooks, two aunts, Shirley Hayes of Waycross, GA. and Thelma Lewis of Alma, GA., close cousin, Gary Ellis of Alma, a sister-in-law, Millie Taylor of Alma, brother-in-law, Roy Taylor of Moultrie, GA., a special friend, Wylene Smith of Brunswick, GA.; also several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 21 ^st at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Guest, Rev. John Thomas and Rev. Hunter Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Mims Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Dewey Anderson, Randy and Stevie Altman, Jerry Mims, Ronnie Ellis, Will Medders, Benny Ray Carver and Wayne Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be; DaVita Dialysis of Baxley, Nursing Staff of Southeast Georgia Health Systems and all others in attendance.
