John H. "Bo" Moore, age 87, of Alma passed away Sunday, August 3rd at the Medical Center of Central Georgia after a short illness. He was a native of Irwin County but had lived most of his life in Alma. Bo was son of the late Roy E. Moore and Ollie Dreer Moore and preceded in death by his wife's, Robbie Ruth Whitley Moore and Mary Rozier Moore, three brothers, Jerry Taylor, Lewis Taylor and Raymond Taylor and seven sisters, Evelyn Moore, Glenda Taylor, Joyce Taylor, Lois Coley, Bernice Roppe, Ruth Holland and Leona Martin. He was a member of New Union Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Roy Moore and wife Olivia Mulligan of Conyers, GA., two daughters, Debra Deen and husband Walter of McDonough, GA. and Janet Palmer and husband James of Butte, MT. and two granddaughters, Natalie Vinson of Atlanta, GA. and Elizabeth Schulz of Charleston, SC.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 6th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Loren Bryant officiating and eulogy given by Jim Palmer. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 PM until funeral time.
Active pallbearers will be; Roy Barber, Ritchie Taylor, Eugene Dyal, Harry Lee Jordan, Carlton Woods, Harvey Williford and Gerald Holland. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
