John Lee Halstead, age 81, of Screven, GA. passed away on February 25, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Born in St. Augustine, Florida on October 24, 1939 to Jessie Halstead and Dorothy Brown Halstead. He was retired from the US Navy and was a member of the Church of God Faith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by  his son, John Daniel Halstead, Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lattressa Mae Davis Halstead of Screven, GA.; one brother, Gerald Halstead of Jacksonville, FL. and one sister, Lola Ponce (Charlie) of St. Augustine, FL.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Pastor Richard Dobson officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
