John C. Moore, age 73, of Alma passed away February 9, 2022 at Satilla Hospice after a short illness. Born in Bacon County on August 14, 1948 to Frank Moore and Pauline Taylor Westberry. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Scott; brother, Frank Moore and sister, Mary Ellen Moore.  Mr. John was a member of the Alma Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sharon Simmons Moore; son, Christopher Moore; daughters, Ashley Crawford (Garrett) and Crystal Roberts (Richard); five brothers, Will Moore (Sharon), Herman Moore (Helen), Freddy Moore (Lee), Marvin Moore and Stevie Moore (Gail); two sisters, Virginia Moore and Gail Taylor (Dennis); 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Victory Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Henderson and Pastor Travis Peavy officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Family Farm Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church Monday from 12:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Martin Simmons, Shell Simmons, Richard Roberts, Cameron Crawford, Stevie Moore, Herman Moore and Garrett and Ashton Crawford. All others in attendance will be considered honorary.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
