John P. "Johnny" Stewart, age 82, of Waycross passed away on May 5, 2020 at Memorial Health in Waycross after an extended illness.  He was born in St. George, South Carolina on January 31, 1938 to Julian H. Stewart and Eula Mae Butler Stewart. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Chadwick W. Stewart, brother, Harold Stewart and two sisters, Maudine Stewart McIntrye and Montine Stewart Taylor. He was a member and Deacon of Dry Creek Baptist Church for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Virue Boatright Stewart, one son, John G. Stewart of Waycross, GA., two grandchildren, Dixie Amelia Stewart and Georgia Blue Stewart of Axson, GA., step grandson, Harrison Fals of Pooler, GA. and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 10 ^th at 4:00 PM at Stewart Cemetery with Rev. David Davis officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
