John Nell Coley Phillips, age 87, of Alma passed away at her residence January 16, 2025 after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Will Henry Coley and Lois Taylor Coley.

Mrs. Phillips was a member of Bacon County Graduating Class of 1955.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Phil Phillips, grandson, Victor Lee Phillips, II, great-grandson, Zaine Phillips, sister, Sandy Peeler and brother, Carlie Coley. Survivors include three sons, Steve Phillips wife Cathy of Douglas, Victor Phillips of Alma and Eric Phillips wife Carol of Jakin; one sister, Jean Taylor of Alma; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
