John Lawton Wheeler, age 58, passed away at his home on September 29, 2025, after a short illness. He was born in Ware County on November 22, 1966, to Bobby Autrey Wheeler and Constance Wheeler. He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Wheeler, Sr and his brother, Bobby Wheeler, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen Thompson Wheeler; his son, Jordan Wheeler; his daughter, Avery Wheeler; his mother, Connie Wheeler, all from Alma; sister, Lori Thatcher (John) of Aiken, S.C.; and mother-in-law, Patsy Thompson of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 02, 2025, in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home at 2 P.M. with Rev. Mark Barth and Rev. Dan Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1PM until service time.

Active pallbearers include Randy Johnson, Eric Phillips, Craig Parrish, Joey George, John Thatcher, and Jacob Wheeler.

All in attendance will be considered honorary pallbearers.
