Johnnie Faye Sears Beckert, age 87, of Alma passed away March 25, 2024 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born January 18, 1937 in Bacon County to the late E. L. Sears and Claudie Tanner Sears.

Mrs. Beckert was a member of Lees Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Beckert, daughter, Shelia Vickers; daughter -in-law, Kim Vickers; four brothers, Jack Sears, Bobby Sears, George Sears and Joe Sears and brother-in-law, Ralph Wade. Survivors include two children, Gene Vickers of Alma and Belinda Sweeney of The Villages; brother, Billy Sears of Atlanta; sister, Jeannie Wade of St. Simons; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Lees Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Vic Peacock officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
