Johnny William Cason, age 70, of Alma passed away November 18, 2023 at Emory University after a short illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Buford Cason and Pearlene Sweat Cason. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Kyle Cason and brother Keith Cason.

Mr. Cason was retired from Carolina Skiff and a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sybil Music Cason; son, Kip Cason (Shelly) and five grandchildren, Coy Cason, Kylin Cason, Olivia Cason, Mark Griffin and Keondre Young.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Delk, Rev. John Sasser and Rev. Randy Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Lee, Mikey Lee, Steven Lee, Larry Lewis, Richie Taylor, Bill Hyers and Lonnie Mercer. Honorary pallbearers will be Ric Wilson, Allen Beverly, Danny Harrell and the Pine Grove Men's Breakfast Club.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
