Obituary
Johnny E. "Bud" Jones, age73, of Waycross passed away at Mayo Clinic in
Waycross after a short illness. He was formerly of Alma but had lived
in Waycross for many years. Johnny was son of the late Charlie Jones
and Hertha Tyre Jones and preceded in death by a brother Charles Jones
and a nephew Mike Jones. He was a member of Ebenezer Advent Christian
Church.
Survivors include his sister, Genelda Field of Waycross, 3 nieces,
Anna Kelley of Alma, Melissa Field of Waycross and Margaret Field of
Nevada City, Georgia, great-nephews, Chad Nipper of Alma, Jacob, Meghan, Sarah and Dylan Kelley of Alma Jared Hamilton of Sylvester, GA. Christian Jones of Flagler Beach, FL. and Silas Kemp of Nevada City, GA, great nieces, Amy Brannen of Alma and Santana Jones of Flagler Beach, FL.; also several great-great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 8th at 2:00 PM at
Damascus Church Cemetery with Rev. R. B. Gaskins officiating.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
