Johnny Q. Taylor, Sr., age 66, of Nicholls died Friday morning November 16, 2012 at his home after a short illness. He was a native of Bacon County but had lived in Nicholls the past 25 years. He was son of the late Oswell Taylor and Gladys Tanner Taylor and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lutricel Taylor, Laverne Carter and a brother, Marlow Taylor. Johnny had been employed with Milliken the past 43 years and had served in the U S Army.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years Evelyn Baisden Taylor of Nicholls, a daughter, Regina Piotrowiak (Janusz) of Nicholls, a son, Johnny Q. Taylor, Jr. of Nicholls, 4 brothers, Eugene Taylor (Lillie) of Nicholls, Quillion (Sandra), Billy Taylor (Judy) and Ray Taylor (Shelia) all of Alma, one sister, Faye Schoppee (Ron) of Douglas, 2 grandchildren, Antoni Jon and Taylor Leeanna Piotrowiak both of Nicholls and beloved pets, Cleo and Mercedes.

A memorial service will be held Friday December 7th, 2012 at 3:30 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with eulogies by friends and family members.
