Joseph Edsel Boatright, age 70, of Alma passed away Sunday, March 6th at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. He was son of the late John Riley Boatright and Faye Tillman Boatirght and was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Boatright. He was a member of Carter's Chapel Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Boatright of Alma, two brothers, Jerry Dale Boatright (Carol) of Alma and Ardel Boatright (Diane) of Nicholls, four sisters, Raulette Waters (Gene) of Alma, Sue Graef (Rick) of Summerville, SC., Dora Boatright of Jensen Beach, FL. and Elaine Palmer (Mike) of Alma; also a grandson, Zachary Jordan of Alma.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 9th at 4:00 PM at Carter's Chapel Church with Kathy Palmer and R. B. Gaskins officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Edsel Boatright memorial Fund at FNB South.
