Judy Marie Johnson Lane, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Shenandoah Road on Sunday, May 31, 2020. She was the daughter of the late James Newton Johnson "JN" and Clara Wheeler Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Grover Cleveland Lane, two brothers James Dock Johnson and Grady Clifton Johnson, five sisters, Eula Johnson McClellan, Ethel Johnson Wheeler, Trudy Johnson, Lois Johnson Barber and Lennis Johnson Pittman.

She is survived by brothers and sisters in law, Delano and Margie Lane, Claude and Doris Lane, Terry and Donna Lane, Swanee and Larkin Deel, and Florna Sproles. She is also survived by special cousins Cathy and Denny Taylor and Pat Lott; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She is also survived by special friends and caregivers, Erin Andrews, Denise Livingood, Deborah Ibe and Liz Peterson.

Judy was a life long member of Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church where she faithfully served as pianist and organist. She retired as a Bookkeeper at FNB South. She was also a retired cow farmer, hay farmer, and master vegetable gardener. Judy and Grover loved everyone including the regular friends at the Huddle House restaurant.

Graveside services will be held at Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, June 2 ^nd at 11:00 AM with Pastor Eric Brown officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
