Julia Frances Bennett Powell, age 90, of Sun City Center, Florida passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Sun City Center Hospice. She was born on September 2, 1926 to the late Calvin Bennett and Maggie Stewart Bennett in Fort Pierce, Florida. Julia is preceded in death by her husband Vernon Powell, four brothers, James, Jimmy, Gerald and Jack Bennett and two great grandchildren T.J and Casey Rodriquez.

Survivors include three children, Rodney Powell (Annette) of Bryceville, FL., Danny Powell (Theresa) of Apollo Beach, FL. and Connie Daniels (John) of Hayesville, NC.; also 7 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws Barbara Bennett and Peggy Bennett and Doris Smith of Waycross, GA., as well as many nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 29th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Stewart Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Danny Powell, Andrew Powell, Jack Powell, Chris Daniels, Joey Daniels and Caleb Jones. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
