Julius David "Howdy" Anderson, age 55 of Alma passed away Thursday December 14 ^th at his home after an extended illness. David was a native of Coffee County and the son of the late Johnnie and Mary Myrtle Gillispie Anderson. His brother Roger Anderson Sr. also preceded David in death.

David is survived by his wife Patricia Anderson, son Dalton Anderson of Alma, stepson Kristopher Withem of Rincon, stepdaughter Mandy Booth (Kevin) of Chicago, brother Robert G. Anderson (Rhonda) of Nicholls, sisters Elaine Bond of Hoboken, Linda Edgerton of Blackshear, and Larue Meeks (Carlis) of Nicholls, and two step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 PM at Chatterton Holiness Baptist Church in Douglas with Rev. R.B. Gaskins and Rev. Johnny Batten officiating. Active pallbearers will be Josh Anderson, Jason Anderson, Trevor Meeks, Cody Meeks, Dillon Meeks, and Cody Singletary. Honorary escort will be members of the Bacon Co. High School Baseball Team. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 12 until 2 PM Saturday.
