Kathleen Holton, age 87, of Alma passed away May 13, 2024 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born May 6, 1937 in Bacon County to the late Ephram Rewis and Eliza Teston Rewis.

Mrs. Holton was a member of Mount Pleasant Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, M.C. Holton; son, Larry "Bulldog" Holton; brothers, Everett Rewis, Elbert Rewis, Doris Rewis, Howard Rewis, Roscoe Rewis, Edward Rewis and Junior Rewis and three sisters, Lessie Mae Rewis, Mary Rewis and Hazel Bartlow. Survivors include her four children, Carolyn Clements (James), Janice Shaver (David), Wendy Holton and Jody Holton (Michelle); nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Audrey Spell and special niece and caretaker, Tiny Thomas.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Eason and Rev. Randy Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral.

Active pallbearers will be Audie Holton, Shawn Holton, Josh Holton, Jadon Holton, Shell Simmons, Casey Holton and Brandon Lester. Members of Mt. Pleasant Church will serve as honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
