Kathryn Pross, age 94, of Alma died Thursday November 27th, 2014 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Pierce County but had lived in Bacon County for many years. She was daughter of the late Jullian Smith and Kate Aspenwall Smith and was also preceded in death by her husband, John Pross, two brothers, Jack Smith, Billy Smith, a sister, Margaret Cowart and a granddaughter, Stephanie Anne Roberson.

Survivors include two daughters, Dyan Mixon of Jacksonville, FL, Laura Mixon of West Palm Beach, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday Nov. 30th at 3:00 o'clock at the Alma United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Crosby officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the Alma United Methodist Church between 1:30 P M and funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Donald Avery, Roy Denny Lee, Bobby Smith, Charles Douglas, Tommy Smith, Eugene Dyal and McCoy Crosby.
