Ken McRay Long, age 56, of Alma passed away Monday, July 6th suddenly at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a native of Thomasville, Georgia but had lived in Alma for many years. Ken was son of the late Gerald Long and Aileen Moss Long. His was a member of the Alma Church of God and worked with the Alma Telephone Company for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Moore Long, a daughter, Sky Alderman (Daniel) and a brother, Stan Long (Becky) all of Alma.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10th at 11:00 AM at the Alma Church of God with Rev. Travis Peavy and Rev. R. B. Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery on Hwy 203. The family will be receiving friends at the Alma Church of God Friday from 10:00 AM until funeral time.
Active pallbearers will be; Tony Taylor, Jason Long, Jeff Horne, Charles Holland, Winston Miles and John Long. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
