Mr. L. Bryson Moody, age 79, of Alma passed away December 15, 2023 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born October 13, 1944 in Fort White, Florida to the late Leonard Burton "L.B". Moody and Velma Westberry Moody. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Voncile Moody Kight.

He was owner and operator of L. Bryson Moody CPA  PC for 45 years.  He was a member and a former Treasurer of the Forest Owner's Association and Appling Grays, Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 918.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Donna Taylor Moody; three sons, Lyndon B. Moody (Julie) of Alma, M. Brett Moody (Patty) of Hiram and Terrell J. Moody of Alma; stepson, Dennis Surrency of Boston, Mass.; five grandchildren, Lee Moody, Cambry York, Kayla Beach, Rebecca Cox and Sara Bos; five great-grandchildren and a special great granddaughter, Emma Moody and sister, Miriam Williams (Larry) of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at New Hope Church Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Ron Williams, Glenn Gregg, Hunter Williams, David Breeden, George Stewart and Mike Godwin. The Class of 1962 and Stephanie Trowell will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
