Larry Dennis Bratka, age 74, of Alma passed away suddenly at the Bacon County Hospital on Wednesday, January 9,2019.  He was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 29, 1944 to the late Emil Henry Bratka and Mary Helen Ross Bratka. Two brothers, Walter Mitchell Bratka and Jon Bratka and a sister, Jeanette Downs preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was retired from Fleetwood Mobile Homes.

Mr. Larry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carrie Tanner Bratka of Alma, five children, Nathan Bratka (Belinda) of Indiana, Tony Bratka (Dana) and Nicole Jones (Greg) both of Kentucky, Kristi Pfund (Jason) of Tallahassee, FL., Janet Cash of Atlanta, GA. and Brandy Evans of Baxley, GA., four sisters, Alice Croft (Dale) of Millwood, GA., Becky Morrison (Johnny) of Ohio, Annette Towner (Will) of Minnesota and Lynne Bratka of Ohio, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 13 ^th at 2:00 PM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Delk officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Active pallbearers will be; Will Towner, Johnny Morrison, Ricky Gilliard, T.J. Hamm, Alex Evans and Chad Lee. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
