Mr. Larry Gunn, age 76, of Nicholls passed away at his residence March 9, 2023 after an extended illness. He was born May 8, 1946 in Stuart, Florida to Rayford Gunn and Martha Estelle Meeks Gunn.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve Gunn and Bobby Gunn.

Mr. Gunn was a Electronics Tech at 3M for many years; retired Gunsmith, Farmer; served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the Nicholls Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Verlene "Missy" Davis Gunn; daughter, Megan Gunn both of Nicholls; brother, Ernie Gunn (Dorothy) of Conyers; three sisters, Bonnie Gunn (Jim Maroun) of Smyrna, Carlene Dukes (Graham) of Waycross, Fay Shepherd (Mark) of Rutledge; sister-in-law, Peggy Luft (Frank) of Tampa; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Nicholls Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Edwin Puckett, Rev. Tommy James and Rev. Walt DeLoach officiating. Interment will follow in Meeks Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday, March 13, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Herman Adams, R. H. Dixon, Larry Fletcher, Bobby Davis, Ricky Gilliard and Bill Simpson. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will in charge of arrangements.
