Larry D. Mullis, age 79, of Alma passed away peacefully at his residence on May 25, 2021 after a short illness. Born in Bacon County on July 8, 1941 to Loris Jefferson Mullis and Vaudre Turner Mullis. He was retired from Ware State Prison and was a member of Victory Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents his was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shanna Sweat. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Lynda Laney Mullis; three children, Sherry Newberry (Glenn), Steve Mullis (Julie) and Stan Mullis all of Alma; two brothers, Windell Mullis (Pam) and Rodney Mullis (Ramona) of Alma; two sisters, Judy Welch of Ft. Myers, Fl. and Rhonda Metts (Tommy) of Mershon; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends at Victory Chapel on Thursday, May 27 ^th from 6 to 9 PM.  Funeral services will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Victory Chapel with Rev. Adam Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Old Pine Grove Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Christopher Mullis, Zeak Mullis, Klay Mullis, Josh Dunnigan, Bailee Boatright, Brandon Newberry, Joe Boy Boatright and Bill Rice. Honorary pallbearers will be; Hospice Satilla and the Adult Sunday Sunday School Class of Victory Chapel.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
