Obituary
Larry Taylor, age 62, of Alma passed away Wednesday, April 17th at Mayo Clinic in Waycross after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Tommie Lee Taylor and Frances Coley Taylor. Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Denny Taylor. He was a member of Alma Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Sherrell Anderson Taylor, one step son, Ray Batten, one step daughter, Sara Batten, two brothers, Donald Taylor (Cornelia) and James Lee Taylor (Freda Ann) and three sisters, Edith Johnson and Rhonda Taylor all of Alma and Jean Tyre of Jesup.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Pet Hayes, Rev. Kenny Ellis and Rev. Marty Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6 and 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Ray Batten, Keagon Bedgood, Tyler and Andy Johnson, Haden Anderson and Kevin Overstreet. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
