Lavelle Deen, age 72, of Nicholls passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his residence after a short illness. He was born on July 30, 1947 to the late Elzie Deen and Mammie Martin Deen. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Buddy Deen, Denny Deen and sisters, Retha Vickers, Eula Dixon, Ethel Miles and Oletha Joins.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Norma Waters Deen of Nicholls, GA.; three children, Jeffery Edgar (Michelle) of Augusta, GA., Lena Sloan of Calhoun, GA. and Lynn Sapp (Thomas) of Waycross, GA.; step sons, Emory Hampton (Angie) of Waycross and Jimmy Hampton (Sandy) of Alma; brother, Darrel Deen (Lawanda) of Cordele, GA. and 13 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 3 ^rd at 2:00 PM at Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Guy and Rev. David Capps officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
