Laverne Mikell Deen, age 81, of Alma passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Memorial Satilla Health Systems after an extended illness. She was on August 16, 1936 in Pierce County to the late L. M. Mikell and Delnoria Melton Mikell. Her husband, Ivey Deen, a brother, Edward Mikell and a sister, Evelyn Mikell prededed her in death.

Survivors include four brothers, Buddy Mikell of Douglas, GA., Joe Mikell, Tom Mikell and Lewis Mikell all of Alma.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 24 ^th at the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.   Graveside services will follow after visitation at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Danny Turner and Rev. R. B. Gaskins officiating.

Active pallbearers will be; Scott Mikell, Kevin Mikell, Ardell Boatright, Brent Mikell, Brandon Bowers and Zack Mikell.
