Leathia Ann Johnston, age 68, of Alma passed away Monday, September 25, 2023 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born August 25, 1955 in Springfield, Ohio to the late John Penwell and Wanda Jo Emler Davis. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, John Bunch, brother Clarence Penwell, niece Amy Penwell and stepfather Bob Davis.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Michael Johnston, three daughters, Donna Bowers (Ricky), Kira Thomas (Jeremy) and Michelle Reynolds (Chuck); two brothers, Claude Penwell (Kathy) and John Penwell (Rose); one sister, Connie Chambers; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Lee and Pastor Pet Hayes officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday from 10:00 AM until service time.  Cremation will follow the service.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
