Leila Merle Sosebee, age 72, of Alma passed away Tuesday, April 5th at her daughter's residence after a short illness. She is a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Omer Aldridge and Myrtie Mae Hersey Aldridge. Merle was preceded in death by her husband Ivan Sosebee, two sons, Paul Ronnie Bennett and James Omer Bennett, two brothers, Roy Aldridge and Harry Aldridge and a sister Faye Stanley. She was a member of New Vision Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Daughtry (Jimmy) of Alma, one sister-in-law, Jeanine Tanner of Alma and one brother-in-law, Roger Bennett of Winder, GA.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Joey Aldridge, Bobby Vathroder, Colton Vathroder, Garrett, Vathroder, Scott Courson and Drew Courson. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
