Lennis M. Lee, age 91, of Alma died peacefully Wednesday morning, August 30, 2017 at the Bacon County Hospital surrounded by her immediate family. She was born in Bacon County on April 9, 1926 to the late Emory Miles Mercer and Mary Beulah Hand Mercer. Lennis is preceded in death by her husband James Madison Lee and two sisters, Tiny Grayson and Lonie Tanner. She was a homemaker and a member of Wesley Chapel (Wolf Pit) Church.

Mrs. Lee is survived by her three children, Jimmy Lee (Kathy), Mike Lee (April) and Linda Boatright (Jerry) of Alma, 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and her caretaker, Stephanie Trowell (Emmett) of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 1 ^st at 4:00 PM at Wesley Chapel (Wolf Pit) Church with Rev. Danny Turner and Rev. T. F. Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in the Mercer Family Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Jared Lee, Matthew Lee, Cory Lee, Adam Head, Brody Long, Scott Head, John Long and Neal Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be; Ladies Sr. Adult Sunday School Class and all others in attendance.
