Leon Vaughn, age 77, of Alma passed away November 16, 2024 at his residence after an extended illness.  He was born October 26, 1947 in Bacon County to Frank Vaughn and Jettie Simmons Vaughn. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, J. M. Vaughn and two sisters, JoAnn Vaughn and Jeanette Williams.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda Scott Vaughn; children, Robin Vaughn (Myra), Caitlyn Vaughn, Bruce Scott and Tonya Surrency all of Alma; two grandchildren, Mallory McBee (Tyler) and Landon Vaughn; one great-grandchild, Kanebrie Vaughn; brother, Billy Vaughn (Ruth) of Baxley and sister, Geneva McKinney (Norman) of Baxley.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Peavy officiating. Caitlyn Vaughn will give a personal eulogy.  Interment will follow at Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be: Bruce Scott, Robin Vaughn, Landon Vaughn, P. J. Pensabene, Tyler McBee, Leon McKinney. Honorary pallbearers will be: Billy Walker and Jeff Waters.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
