On March 22, 2025, Leon Vickers, age 71 passed away in Alma, after an extended illness. Leon is the son of the late Jessie Vickers and Claudie Mae Marshall Vickers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Hosea, Jessie, Dennis, and Alfred Vickers; two sisters Delphine Bennett and Josephine Robinson.

Leon attended Bacon County High School. In his early life he did what he loved most, farm work and gardening, while helping others in his community. He was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three sisters, Betty Wesley (William) of Alma, Daisy Rich (Larry) of Beverly, NJ, Melissa Barlow of Fayetteville, GA, and one special sister, Pearl Morgan of Alma, GA. Two sisters-in-law, Mary Vickers of Elizabeth, NJ and Ozell Vickers of Alma, also a special aunt, Dorothy Jordan of Apopka, FL. A special niece, Clydester Sexon of Alma. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with two special devoted friends, Mr. Mark Cohen and Mr. Greg Davis.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:30 AM in the chapel at Crosby Funeral Home with interment to follow at Paulk Cemetery in Ambrose, Ga. Visitation will be held at 10:30 AM until service time.

Active pallbearers include, Timmy Wesley,     Jermey Wesley, Tony Wesley, Hosea Vickers, Jr, William Wesley, Jr, and Joe Morgan, Jr.
