Mrs. Leona Johnson Lee, age 93, of Alma passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was born January 1, 1931in Appling County, but lived most of her life in Bacon County. She was daughter of the late Dave A. Johnson and Nora Dean Johnson.

Mrs. Leona was a member of New Vision Church.

In addition to her parents she was precede in death by her husband, Charles Taft Lee; great-granddaughter, Emily Lee; brother, Henry "Bud" Johnson and three sisters, Geneva Bonadio, Lula Mae McMillan and Betty Grace Conell.  Survivors include two daughters, Mary Crace (AL) and Marsha Starling (Perry); son, Charles Michael Lee (Debbie) of Alma; 7 grandchildren Jay & Morgan Crace, Travis Lee, Brooke, Baylee, Blake and Brody Starling and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at New Vision Church with Rev. Pet Hayes, Rev. Travis Lee and Rev. Bobby Bentley officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the Tuesday at New Vision from 10:00 AM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Blake Starling, Brody Starling, Jay Crace, Morgan Crace, Travis Lee and Cody Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Joyce Rozier, Delama Lee, Jo Earl Ellis, Delema Crosby, Woodrow McRea, Linton Carter, Staff of Twin Oaks Nursing Home and the Bacon County Class of 1949.
