Leonard E. Swain, age 53, of Alma passed away Sunday, February 22nd at Satilla Hospice after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County but had lived in Kissimmee, Florida the past 25 years. Leonard was son of the late Estelle E. Swain and Lucille Conwell Swain Cothern and was preceded in death by a brother Robert Swain.

Survivors include four brothers, Tracy Swain, Virgil Swain, J. W. Swain and Rex Swain and a step-brother, Randy Cothern all of Alma and two sisters, Francis Dee Altman of Waycross and Margaret Fielding of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feburary 26th at 2:00 PM at the Alma Church of God with Rev. Travis Peavy officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Waycross. The family will be receiving friends at the Alma Church of God Thursday from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; David Moore, Danny Carter, Pete Lee, Johnny Allen, Jerald Holland, Shannon Reynolds and Bradley Dole. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts
